I was pretty salty that I missed that Guilty show...but glad you guys caught it. Definitely one of those dudes pushin the D to the forefront. GS just makes me wanna rob people haha...in a good way. And props to him for expanding his repertoire and working with Will Sessions and Madlib and Sean Price, etc. I think that the traditional formula of an MC and a DJ will be, and SHOULD BE, practiced forever. That IS hip hop. If the music's hot, the DJ has skills, the MC can rap live, and the sound is right...you can't beat that. It's definitely better suited for a small venue...true. But...it is great and necessary to see people branching out. I don't wanna see everyone start to emulate The Roots but...adding more "real" musical aspects to rap can only help further it's progression. Good look on the video...
