Subscribe to the RSS feed hereFriday night we made it down to Hamtramck to check out some live techno with Los Hermanos at the White Star. When we arrived, Terry Charles and Jeremy Poling were tagging some minimal techno, and there was a crowd of techno heads milling about. Good electronic music at the White Star seems so odd to me, the place seems like it’s normally a total chach club. Regardless, Los Hermanos went on around midnight and absolutely fucking killed it. Spacey, string filled, raw ass Detroit techno, that was just awesome. Gerald Mitchell is fuckin’ ill on the keys! We need more people in Detroit that could play live sets like this. I wish they would have played a little longer, but Mark Flash played a short DJ set that finished it out proper. Here’s the first part of the Los Hermanos set. Enjoy!
