Normally here at The Detroit Techno House we dedicate most of our times to events/musicians that are relevant to the Detroit techno scene and history. However, every now and again we love to give a shout-out to our techno brethren across the pond, especially when it’s a heavy hitter like fabric London. In case you’re a little behind, Fabric has been one of London’s most seminal electronic music venues since opening in 1999. Fabric Records has released a series of monthly mixes since that time by some of the worlds best and brightest of house and techno. Jerome Sydenham doesn’t break the history of bringing the heat with this newest installment to the mix series. It’s a fantastic little mix of house and techno that knows how to get deep without being to sleepy and minimal, and when to bang it loud. If you’re not familiar, check out Jerome Sydenham and his label Ibadan Records, an awesome label with a roster of amazing artists. Oh, and if you’re in London for any reason this coming Saturday, make sure to check out Jerome Sydenham at fabric (the flyer is above).
