Seeing as we love all things and people Detroit, here’s something for our fans to bump. James Pennington aka Suburban Knight is one of my favorite locals. Enjoy.

Came across this today, and I thought I would post it up for everyone’s enjoyment. Can’t go wrong with a TP mix! If you go here, you can dowload the mix at the bottom of the page
Once upon a time, magnetic tape was the the audio medium of choice for DJ’s/Producers to spread their work to the great masses. I used to love getting out of a rave, and making that long drive home bumpin a tape that somebody had handed me that night. I’m sure somewhere in my archives( ok, it’s really a storage locker) there is a pile of dusty tapes, but for convenience, I have found a huge online archive of old rave mixtapes. Talk about some awesome stuff, I haven’t seen some of these names since the 90′s! A couple of highlights I’ve checked out so far were an old Prototype 909 live set, and a mix by the late, great Disco D. There is definitely several months worth of listening enjoyment here for the hardcore electronic music fan. That tape hiss is gonna make you wanna go buy an old Walkman and dub these files back to their original format!
