What’s up peoples?  I know it’s been a couple months since the last podcast was released, and I apologize whole heartedly.  Both Alex and I went through some drastic job changes and our time has been taken up by the man.  All excuses aside, we have a brand new episode for ya’ll.  This time all the vinyl being played is from my collection.  The next episode will be from Alex’s.  I picked out a nice batch of funky tunes that you should be able to appreciate and get down to.  Also, we received a record by Kidstatik from Level 4 Productions out of Montreal, Canada that is featured in this episode.  In the last edition we had an awesome interview with DJ Seoul and it was our most successful podcast yet.  We had roughly about 700 downloads.  We are pushing hard to try to get over the thousand mark and would appreciate any support you can provide.  The easiest thing to do is just to tell somebody about it.  You can also subscribe via RSS or through Itunes to automatically get all new episodes released.  We also love to get things in the mail.  If you have a new release out then send us a copy.  If we can groove to it then it will definitely be in the next podcast with a nice shout out backing it up.  Hit us up at thedetroittechnohouse@gmail.com for more info.  Thanks for your support everybody and hope you enjoy this episode of our podcast.  Cheers!

Alright Alright Alright!  The Movement Festival is this weekend and with that comes the newest episode of our podcast.  You will hear an interview with DJ Seoul of Detroit Techno Militia and Bang Tech 12 as well as a bangin techno mix by him at the end of the program.  DJ Seoul just got off a European tour and has big plans for this weekend’s festivities.  You’ll get some insight on this as well as on other things.  To start off, Alex and I dug in our personal crates for vinyl released by artists on the Movement lineup.  You can expect some Carl Craig, Green Velvet, Aux 88, Richie Hawtin, and some others as well.  I hope you all enjoy this episode as it is sure to fulfill your techno hunger.

Hello my friends.  We are very ecstatic to bring you this episode of our podcast.  This particular one is a milestone for us in many ways.  First being we are featuring our first interview, with Detroit’s Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale.  She stopped by the studio last week and dropped some knowledge on us as well as a hot mix.  With Hotwaxx being a part of her name we were interested in her opinion on the vinyl vs. digital debate as well as some other topics.  She just got back from the Winter Music Conference as well as a show at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.  The show entitled “Black Women Rock“  had many successful musicians that Ms. Hotwaxx got to work with and in this episode we get a little insight into that experience.  Staying true to our core traditions, you can also expect some hot tracks acquired by Alex and I.  This time we’re focusing on newer Detroit House and Techno from 2007 to now.  Expect some Planet E, some Transmat, and also a new track from Codine released by the Blank Artists.  This is my favorite podcast so far and hope you like it also.  Check it out!

It is cold out there and everything is trashed.  The only fragments of musical life we can see are hidden inside broken down buildings with Motown 45s in a suitcase but it’s a little cold for adventuring.  So blessed be the internet.  Blessed be garage sales.  Bless Craig and his list.  The ability to equip yourself is here.  They can take our turntables away and give us fancy computers as replacements but nothing beats the vinyl baby.  I see you listening to your ipods and so do I but best believe if a Technic had a headphone jack and ran on batteries Id be sportin that shit.  You can throw stones at glass houses but shouldn’t throw stones at Walter Glasshouse.  He likes electro and so do I.  If you did that then I would steal all your vinyl and copper.  This is no good for you my friend.  Me and you both must listen to this episode of the DTH podcast to accumulate good merit.
