Nittin @ TV Bar (2548 Grand River, Detroit, MI) w/ Dru Ruiz, Ted Krisko, Mr. Joshooa, Dan Wagner. $5 before midnight, 9pm, 21 and up. Good stuff on a thursday night. TV Bar is one of the coolest venues in Michigan, and consistently bringing in great electronic talent.

Friday March 30

Lady Vice and BUL!M!ATRON @ The Garden Pub (129 Michigan ave, Detroit, MI). Also Performing: DJ Seoul, Dru Ruiz, Jeremy Poling, Corbin Davis, Satta Don Dad, Enjoi, Private Yoga Lessons, Rae Marie Earles. $5 before 11pm, $10 after, 21 and up. A Juicy event.

Girls Gone Vinyl @ Grasshopper Undergound (22757 Woodward, Detroit, MI) w/ Karina and Jenny La Femme. 21 and up.

Saturday March 31

MOBILOGIX CD Release @ Park Bar (2040 Park Avenue, Detroit, MI. Also Performing: Mobil Home, Eddie Logix, Skrapz, Phantasmagoria, Secrets (live pa), Angelica Moross, Intricate Dialect, Leaf Erickson, Meel Ticket, Subverse, Midcoast Most, SelfSays. Admission is $8 with a free CD. Doors at 9pm.

Terrence Parker @ Grasshopper Underground (27757 Woodward, Detroit, MI) w/ Kalvin and Hobbez. $5, 21 and up, 10pm. Best house music in the city, some might say…

Another week of Detroit heat is upon us. Wow, there are so many wonderful things to talk about this week. Quality music with your pocketbook in mind. Nothing over $10 this weekend, and it is all very solid. I have to say, electronic music in Detroit is truly keeping art in moving in the right direction.

Thursday August 18

Guillame and the Coutu Dumounts @ TV Bar (2548 Grand River). Also performing are Mr. Joshooa, John Johr, DJ Dru, Matt Vaught, Cotep, Jenna Brown, Kenneth Russell. Admission is $5 before 10p and this is a 21 and up event. We have written about them in the past, and our opinion is one of great admiration for Guillame and the Coutu Dumounts, best Thursday ever!

Friday August 19

Terry Mullan @ The Works (1846 Michigan, Detroit, MI). Also performing, Mike Clark, Brian Gillespie, Carlos Souffront, Michael Geiger, Keith Kemp, Nasty C, Drew Maddox, Craig Gonzales, Matt Clarke. Admission is $10 all night and only Vinyl records from 1985-2000 will be played. Dope!

Saturday August 20

Juan Atkins, Andre Williams, Dabrye @ Roosevelt Park (Front of Train Station). Also Performing will be Boldy James, Paik, Sheefy McFly, Dopehead, Nick Speed, and many more… This event runs from 12:30pm – 12am. A unique blend who music that will be closed out by some really amazing talent. The vibe will be amazing, underneath the sky with Detroit.

Walter Glasshouse @ Smarty Catz (16 N. Huron, Ypsilanti, MI). Also performing will be Charles English, Prophet Ecks, DJ 45. Admission is $3, and the event is 18 and up. Real house music with a side of turntablism, and some soul.

Hello Ladies and Gents, for those of you who decided to run from the rabid squirrels at Electric Forest, we at DTH have got the scoop on what is really going on this weekend. Detroit will be filled with the oohs and aahs of strippers burning their nipples, and that ain’t the only party in town.

Friday July 1

Beatniks Gallery Rooftop Party @ The Russell Industrial Center (1600 Clay St. Building 2, Detroit, MI). This event features performance by DJ Seoul, John Johr, Midnite Jackers, William Paul, Charlie and Sheen, D’Vice, and Dru Ruiz. There is a $10 Suggested donation with free beer, punch, and food till it’s gone… This party is to commemorate the opening of the new headshop in the Russel Industrial center, and there will be a fireworks display after the show!

Surburban Knight @ The Works (1846 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI) w/ DJ Tank and Josh Surma. This party is free before 11pm and $5 after, 18+. It’s not too often that he comes out for a nibble on your soul, but you better get there if you want to be bitten by the original rave bug.
