OK folks, it’s that time of the week again… Here at DTechnoHouse every Thursday we like to give you a round-up of the events that are happening in and around tha D.
This week our featured event is Mintec, with Dani Sbert headlining his first U.S. appearance ever. If you are not familiar with Sbert, then I suggest you recognize… Also performing will be Detroit’s own Punisher. If you want to hear real techno at a true Detroit venue, then Oslo is the place and Saturday is the night. you can find tickets here .
Piggy-backing the Mintec party is another Saturday night sizzler… and the best part is that if you attend the Mintec party you get in free to this one! So if you have E.D.M. A.D.D. like me, the G3nius crew has just the thing. They will be banging The Works out all night, and it’s free for everyone before 1am. This event features music spun by Gary Martin, John Overfiend, Errol, and Andy Garcia. Sounds like Saturday is gonna be a doozy!
The first movement pre-party will be held on Friday April 22, at Oslo. Headlining this event will be the deep vibes of Guillame & The Coutu Dumonts. This is a show you should not miss, as it will kick off Movement with some real flavor. Guillame & The Coutu Dumonts have been a favorite of DTH in the past, and we always love when someone we talk about actually comes to detroit.
If your in the mood for some house music on Friday night, why not stop by Hot House at The Works. This event features Tim Nobody, Big Joe Hix, Lindsey Yeager, and Christos. It’s Only 5 bucks and your sure to shake your money-maker! If house is your thing, you don’t want to miss Hot House.
The Ruckus 1 year celebration will be happening at The TV Bar on Saturday, April 23 featuring Ataxia and E. Spleece, and it should be a good night of craziness.
Lastly… there is a dubstep/dnb event, BassDUBauchery, at the Magic Stick also on Saturday, April 23 with some really great DJ’s. WE BANG, straight from the Cali dubstep scene, will be headlining, along side quality acts such as Mark Moss and Calico. If this is your cup of tea, I would say, have two lumps of sugar and get down!
Well, that about sums it up for this weekend in the world of Electronic Detroit. Anyone who attends one of these events is welcome to let us know how it went by posting a comment on this page. Have a fun and safe time kids… see ya next week with a new batch of bash’s. Until then, Glasshouse out!
