The first signs of life of this years Movement festival are beginning to appear.  First thing to note is the slight name change.  This year it will be labeled Movement: Paxahau Electronic Music Festival.  It seems to be within the festival’s nature to have a name change every couple years.  Personally I could care less about the name as long as the talent is good.  Speaking of talent the artists will be  na Sia, Art Department, Bruce Bailey, Cio D’Or, Dam-Funk & Master Blazter (live), DJ T-1000, Echospace (live), Goldie, Green Velvet (live), Kerri Chandler, Marcel Dettman, Mimosa, Reference, Scuba, Shlomi Aber, Skrillex (live), Soul Clap, Sven Väth, Tini, and Visionquest (live / DJ).  There will be more names announced of course.  I hope we can see more Detroit artists like Derrick May or something from Underground Resistance.  Last year Mr. Mayday ripped it to shreds in one of the tents while Derrick Carter was tearing it up on the main stage.  This stood out big time from everything else going on.  This year seems to be promising though.  I’ve always been a big Green Velvet fan and he should be tight as long as the E-Tards don’t piss him off while he is performing the La La Land track.  Goldie will also be interesting as well as Kerri Chandler and T-1000 who always do us right.  Stay tuned for more info as the Line-up progresses.
