The festival is over, much to our chagrin, and, as per usual this year was filled with many highs and lows in Hart Plaza.  Many great performances stretched over Memorial weekend, covering all genre’s and sub-genre’s that make up modern electronic music. The music, vibe, and after-parties were all on point this year, and it looks like Paxahau finally figured out how to make the sound bang just perfectly. The sound might have actually been a little too loud.  I had ear plugs in and still came home with ear fatigue. The only huge disappointment of the weekend was the super-early shutdown of the Bohemian National home by an over zealous Detroit Police Department.  The talent was pretty on point this year, regardless of the lack of Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Juan Atkins.  Oh well, I guess they need to test the waters with other talent and such.  Our favorites would have to be Dam Funk & Master Blazter, Kerri Chandler, Terrence Parker, Delano Smith, Adam Beyer, Lee Foss, Green Velvet, John Collins, JPLS, DTM 5×5, Claude Young, and Metro Area.  All these cats seriously rocked it.  We recorded a ton of video and also took a bunch of pictures.  You can check out the video we took on our Youtube site, and see the pictures on our Facebook site.
