Friday July 1
Beatniks Gallery Rooftop Party @ The Russell Industrial Center (1600 Clay St. Building 2, Detroit, MI). This event features performance by DJ Seoul, John Johr, Midnite Jackers, William Paul, Charlie and Sheen, D’Vice, and Dru Ruiz. There is a $10 Suggested donation with free beer, punch, and food till it’s gone… This party is to commemorate the opening of the new headshop in the Russel Industrial center, and there will be a fireworks display after the show!
Surburban Knight @ The Works (1846 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI) w/ DJ Tank and Josh Surma. This party is free before 11pm and $5 after, 18+. It’s not too often that he comes out for a nibble on your soul, but you better get there if you want to be bitten by the original rave bug.
Saturday July 2nd
Alex Celler @ TV Bar(2548 Grand River, Detroit, MI). Also Performing are Teddie and Matt Yurek, Erno the Inferno, Cobio and Gabrielle Schwarz, A. Part, Artifact, Mr. Joshooa, Detroid Chas Ries, Dan Michalak. If you haven’t heard Alex Celler play his unique brand of Tech-House then this is your opportunity. It is his first Detroit appearance and he is playing an extended 3-hour set!
Carlos Souffront and Todd Osbourne somewhere on Bagley Street in Detroit, MI. Thanks to the genius folks for posting only that much about the night. It’s $5 if you can find it without getting robbed. It goes up by the amount that you get robbed if you get robbed. And if you get robbed by a man named Rob, you get in free!
Sunday July 3rd
John Beltran, Delano Smith, Bruce Bailey @ Virgin outdoor venue (Corner of Grand blvd and Grand River, Detroit, MI). The admission is $5 before 7pm, with outdoor music going until midnight, and then they bring it inside for the late-night party. Also performing Josh Dahlberg, Aran Daniels, Dalouda, Mr. Joshooa, Joe Covio, Minx. This seems like a great way to celebrate our country!
