It has been a quiet weekend in the D, but I found some events that I thought were worth posting. So here goes…

Saturday August 27

Christian Martin @ The Works (1846 Michigan ave., Detroit, MI) w/ John Johr, Matt Vaught, Kev Kush, Zach Craig, Zaca Ree, Minz, Joey Smoke, King Blatz. Doors open at 10pm and cover is $10 before midnight, $15 after. Should be a fun time. Dirtybird in the house.

Jeremy Joshua vs Chuck Daniels @ Oslo (1456 Woodward, Detroit, MI) w/ Tim Nobody, Lindsey Yeager, Midnight Jackers, Tracks and Fields. This event is $5 before midnight. Some dope house will be played here. Thumbs up.

Since this is a light week of events, I thought I would highlight some of the upcoming things we have to look forward to in the D.

Saturday September 3

Red Pill Blue Pill @ Beatniks Rooftop gallery (1600 clay, Detroit, MI, Russell Industrial Center). Also Performing will be Enjoi, Mark Moss, Dalouda, E. Dubb and Rhythm Hustla, Charlie & Sheen. Admission is $10, event runs from 9pm- 5am.

Saturday September 10

Todd Edwards (of Daft Punk) @ Vondies (260 Schweizers Place, Detroit, MI). Also Performing will be DJ Seoul, Todd Perrene, Urban Decay, The Vandal, The Katalyst, Joh Johr, Paranormal Tek, Jeffrey Woodward, Dan Guzman, Miss Chavez, Frankie J, Nick Jagger, Hugh Cleal, Step Wild, Rob Lloyd.
