It’s hard to keep Detroit down. Despite the constant negativity that you hear in all things that are media, this city still manages to produce amazing electronic music.

Alex Omar Smith aka Omar S has been releasing odd house tracks with a unique, Detroit sound for over a decade.  He’s pressed a bunch of next level vinyl on his DIY label FXHE, played all across the globe, and even put together a mix of his own tracks for Fabric.

On this recent pressing on FXHE, Omar S teams up with Aaron ‘FIT’ Siegel for a piece of deep house greatness. The original mix combines sexy, deep vocals with a nasty synth line for a dance floor burner.

On the flipside, the Detroit mix chops up the vocals and adds some 90s piano hooks and drums for a different take on the track.

Get this legit piece of Detroit electronic music on wax at FXHE and support independent music!
