Life On The Back 9 Album Cover DEMODJ extroadinaire Mr. Terrence Parker needs no introduction in this city. Having been at the forefront of the house scene since forever, he has inspired multiple generations of “house heads” across the globe with his gospel piano lines and infectious scratching. Although Terrence is a veteran in the scene and has crazy turntable skills, he hasn’t received the attention that he really deserves. He hopes to change all of this with his new album, “life on the back 9”.

The new album will be available on January 27th on Planet E,¬†and is inspired by a metaphor told by his father. The back 9 refers to a game of golf. In an 18 hole game, if you don’t achieve what you wanted on the first 9 holes then you always have the back 9 to make up on. Terrence hopes to destroy the back 9 with this album and we hope he does.

I think Terrence is right on with releasing an album of original tracks to take on the back nine of this course. Even though he has hundreds of productions under his belt, he is still known mostly for his DJing. Unfortunately in this day, DJ skills will only take you so far, but one great original track can send a musician to the moon. With his last big release being way back in the mid-nineties, TP really needs the next Love’s Got Me High to rock the world and Planet E is definitely the label that could give him the push he needs.

You can get a sneak peak of the tunes at JunoDownload. Stay tuned to DTH for an update and review when the album drops January 27th, and please visit TerrenceParkerMusic.com
